The lawyers of Jamarber Malltezi, the son-in-law of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, will file a request for a change of measure in the Court of Appeal. Malltezi was left in prison on Monday by the Special Court for charges of corruption and money laundering, related to the privatization of the former sports complex, “Partizani” and the construction of several towers on this land.
Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has also been accused of the “Partizani” file. Accusations of passive corruption and money laundering weigh heavily on him. On Thursday, the measure for Berisha was put into effect, after the GJKKO decided “Compulsory appearance” and passport blocking for the former prime minister.
The former prime minister must appear on the first and third Monday of every month before the Judicial Police Officer, at the Special Prosecutor’s Office against Corruption and Organized Crime./abcnews.al
