The Durrës police seized 18 expensive brand watches, various gold and silver jewelry, 25 2 euro coins, 1 wave blocker, 6 cell phones and 1 vehicle. As a result, as part of the “Accessories” operation, three people ended up in police custody: Eduart Selimi, the driver of the vehicle where the valuables were found; Mateos Rama, passenger in this vehicle; Behar Rexha, the owner of this vehicle.
The valuables were seized as material evidence, together with the van where 3 passports were found. Investigations continue in cooperation with the Anti-Skifter Unit and counterparts in EU countries, to determine the origin of valuables and to document the criminal activities of these citizens. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of the Durrës General Jurisdiction, for further actions, for the criminal offenses “Failure to declare cash and valuables at the border”, “Cleaning of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity”. and “Acquisition of money or goods derived from criminal offense or criminal activity”, carried out in cooperation./abcnews.al
