A powerful earthquake has hit Albania around 4am this Tuesday.
The earthquake was reported to be 6.5 on the Richter scale and was felt in some cities.
The earthquake that hit Durres recently caused a number of material damages. It is suspected that due to the earthquake that previously fell in Durres, several dwellings collapsed. One person was taken out of the wreckage of a building in Durres.
So far, two more victims have been reported in Kurbin where one person in his 50s was killed while jumping out of a building during the tremor while another collided with a car after losing control over the earthquake.
Another earthquake was recorded again. The epicenter of the earthquake was 10 km from Durres and 32 km from Tirana and was recorded in 07:10 minutes.
The earthquake had a relatively high magnitude of 6.3 earthquakes and a depth of 10 km from the earth.
Seven people have been killed so far in the powerful earthquake that hit the country shortly before 4am this morning.

In many areas electricity has been cut off, while army forces have dug into the ruins of collapsed buildings in hopes of finding survivors.

Prime Minister Edi Rama said all government agencies were “intensively working to save lives at the fatal spots in Durres and Thumane.”
“It is a dramatic moment where we should preserve calmness, stay alongside each other to cope with this shock,” Rama wrote on his
Facebook page.
The latest quake was reportedly also felt in the southern Italian regions of Puglia and Basilicata./abcnews.al
