The Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku says that the economic development of Albania is very fast and that the labor market requires professional people.

During her speech at the Conference on Education and Vocational Training, Balluku stated that there is a lack of professionals and encouraged young people to look into vocational education.

“Today, a growing market when exports have reached over 500 million per year and with the clear goal of reaching 1 billion exports by 2030, livestock farmers must unite in the form of an agricultural corporation to produce larger quantities. Larger quantities of the same varieties. So it is no longer possible that there are different types of tomatoes on the market, it is no longer possible that there are different types of beans on the market, as today companies and collection points require large quantities for the Balkan market, but also for Europe.

During the last year, we managed to penetrate with the products of the area of Divjaka and the whole part of Myzeqe up to the supermarkets of Switzerland.

I mention the Swiss supermarkets as they have even higher requirements than the European Union itself in terms of organic products.

A new industry which has already exploded and anyone of you just looking at the figures that we publish from time to time understands that our airport, the international airport of Tirana, ranks first in terms of traffic flows that land and take off from Tirana, while the Albanian air navigation has been in the first place for several months in terms of the quantity, the volume of the processing of overpasses in the Albanian territory.

The Albanian government has announced the year 2024 as the year where the development of human capacities is undoubtedly the main priority for us and undoubtedly the focus of the entire government cabinet, as this is a request of the prime minister who has identified it from the beginning.

If you remember that saying, there are jobs but there are no professionals, where everyone laughed at this saying, today it is a tangible reality. The market has jobs, the market has demand, what we lack are profiled professionals that is why we are here today.

We are here today to talk about professional education, which is one of the most important instruments to be successful in all those sectors that I mentioned. In all those sectors which are like a sucker in these moments of all human resources. But on the other hand, qualified human resources are needed,” she emphasized.
