The model of good management of properties confiscated from criminal sources that is being applied by the Italian state will also be followed by the Agency for the Administration of Seized and Confiscated Assets (AAPSK).
This was agreed during the meeting that took place this Tuesday in Rome, between the Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla and the Italian counterpart, Matteo Piantedosi.
In a few days, the technical group will meet in Tirana to detail all the agreements that have been reached between the two ministries.
It is learned that the agreements were made in the field of Organized Crime, where 14 joint operations were recently developed, in the field of the new approach for the agency of confiscation of crime assets, where the Italian experience will be applied in Albania as well.
The signing of these agreements is expected in Tirana after the discussions of the working groups. This meeting comes after previous meetings that Albania has had between the Albanian, Italian and British Police in dealing with criminal groups. According to Balla, crime knows no borders and the police must cross borders with cooperation.
Balla said that he has asked the Italian Interior Minister for the membership of the Albanian traffic police in the European Traffic Police Association for road safety challenges.
The two police directors of Vlora and Durres were also present for this meeting. This according to Balla, as Albania is expecting another tourist year. Balla said that Albania, in addition to tourist attractions, will offer maximum security for Italian tourists who have booked in Albania.
