Albanian parliament will hold a plenary session to discuss 22 legal initiatives

The Albanian Parliament will hold a meeting  this thursday after a month due to the situation created by coronavirus in the country.

This Thursday’s session will be held under strict rules to protect each-other,  MPs will be provided with masks and gloves, at a distance of 1.5 m while only 35 parliamentarians will be sitting in their seats.

In this plenary session, which is expected to last 2 hours, 22 legal initiatives will be voted, starting with the changes in the Criminal Code, the 2020 budget, releasing a category of convicts, and the for postponement  of  payment of the income tax installment for businesses.

It is also expected that in this plenary session will be discussed the legal initiatives for the situation of COVID-19 ,such as Meta’s two decrees for returning to the Assembly of the property law and the Anti-Defamation package for the part that belongs to OFL for sequestration of assets.

It is also expected that the postponement of the activity of the Commission for Electoral Reform, which should have been completed in mid-March, also  will be voted./abcnews.al
