The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Olta Xhaçka, expressed her condolences for the lives lost in Turkey and Syria as a result of the devastating earthquake. She emphasized that the prayers of the Albanians are for the Turkish people and that our country will stand by the Turkish authorities in this difficult situation.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims of the tragic earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria today, causing hundreds of casualties. In this difficult hour, we are ready to help Turkey in any way we can”, he writes.
The Albanian Embassy in Turkey says that so far there are no injuries for Albanians affected by the earthquake.
“Meanwhile, based on communication with the Embassy of the RS in Turkey (since the early hours of the morning until now) there is no information about Albanians injured or who may have lost their lives”, the ministry said./abcnews.al.
