After the Constitutional Court gave the green light to the agreement between Albania and Italy for immigrants, on Thursday, it is expected to vote and ratify it in the Parliament of Albania.
In the agenda of the Assembly, the protocol for immigrants with Italy has been included in the agenda and is expected to pass in the plenary session. The Socialist Party has enough votes to vote on the protocol.  The plenary session is scheduled to start at 10:00 am.
What does the Albania-Italy agreement basically contain?
Albania will not pay money for the temporary housing of the migrants and Italy will remove each of them immediately after the review of their asylum requests is completed.

This is the guarantee given by the Albanian government for the Rama-Meloni agreement, through some details published by the Media and Information Agency. Italy sets up entirely at its own expense the structures for the stay of immigrants. The maximum number of people who can stay sheltered at the same time is no more than 3 thousand people. Italy bears all expenses for the sheltered immigrants including: any health care costs, any other unforeseen costs that may come to the Albanian side.

The maximum period of stay of an immigrant cannot be longer than the time needed for asylum/protection procedures. The agreement for immigrants was finalized on November 6 by the prime minister of Albania, Edi Rama, and the prime minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni./abcnews.al
