“No one is above the law” was the message of the ambassador of the United States of America from the city of Vlora, when asked about the declaration “non grata” by DASH, of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and his family.
“I would like to see more economic opportunity for the country because it is a great country. But it has to work together. I share you you share them. Much of this has to do with democracy. You saw the knowledge and a year ago. You have seen developments. ”
Ambassador Kim has said that there is nothing to add from the statement made by Secretary of State Mr. Blinker.
“I have nothing to add but what Blinker said.”
Yuri Kim further said that he has no idea about a lawsuit filed by Berisha against Blinker where the DASH decision to declare him “non grata” is appealed.
“I have no idea what you are talking about,” said the ambassador.
Regarding the message that the US seeks to give with the announcement “non grata” of the Prime Minister, Ambassador Kim said that Albania is changing and impunity must end.
“This is the message. Albania is changing. It is a member of NATO. It will be in the EU. It is an ally and friend of the US. The rule of law must prevail. It should be clean and a rich place. Going there no one can be above the law. The days of impunity must go to the end. And we all have to work. It’s not a US project and yours is common. Our two peoples. ” said Kim./abcnews.al
