US Ambassador to Albania Yuri Kim is in Vlora today. Through a post on social media, the US embassy says that Kim has held a meeting with civil society representatives to hear their views on the upcoming election.
“During her visit to Vlore today, Ambassador Kim met with a group of civil society representatives to hear their views on the upcoming elections. The group discussed the integrity of candidates, voter education, gender equality issues, and the importance of election monitoring. The Ambassador highlighted the role that civil society should play in the upcoming elections by encouraging all citizens to vote – especially young people, informing voters on their rights and responsibilities, as well as contributing to a fairer society and stronger democracy in Albania, writes the embassy./abcnews.al
