The Natural Disaster Management Operations Office has made a preliminary balance of damages caused by the November 26 earthquake.
The Operations office informs that the emergency headquarters are located in Tirana, Durres and Lezha.
29 people continue to receive medical care, 22 are at Trauma Hospital, 4 at Durres Hospital and 3 others are being transferred abroad for treatment;
2633 is the number of persons accommodated in the hotels of Durres, Shengjin and Kavaja.
The earthquake marked the worst tragedy in the country, causing 51 casualties, while hundreds more were injured and thousands of homes are destroyed.

Today is the sixth day after the earthquake of November 26, which brought the tragedy of losses life for our 51 fellow citizens and caused several injuries and major damage to many dwellings in the municipalities of Durres, Kruja, Shijak, Kurbin, Tirana, Kamza, Vora and Lezha.
This daily press release provides preliminary information and balance on the work of public institutions to address the earthquake consequences of November 26, 2019,as the actions taken are still in process,and are moving forward rapidly.
During the day:
1.The Council of Ministers approved aid packages for the families of 51 earthquake victims on November 26, which include immediate family housing, special pensions, and expenses for funeral ceremonies;
2.The families of the 51 victims of the November 26 earthquake were contacted to discuss with them concrete steps for their immediate shelter and initiation of procedures for receiving special pensions;
3.Emergency Staffs continued to function; in Tirana, Durres and Lezha, which manage all aspects of the work to address the short and medium term consequences of the earthquake;
4.29 persons continue to receive medical care, of which 22 are in Trauma Hospital, 4 in Durres Hospital and 3 others transferred abroad for treatment;
5.The number of citizens accommodated in hotel structures in Durres, Shengjin and Kavaja has reached to 2633;
6.Four gyms in Durres were vacated after verifications made with Administrative Units. Residents who were made homeless by the earthquake were accommodated in hotel structures.
7.On-site work is still continuing the inspection of all home damage by local and international teams in all affected counties.
8.27 evaluation groups have been established in Tirana. In Durres, the housing expert group consists of 70 engineer experts, 50 of whom are foreigners.
9.There are 4 working groups in Kamza in the Bathore and Paskuqan area that are working.
10.There are 5 verification teams operating in Rrogozhina, while on-site inspection continues in all other affected areas, such as Kruja, Laçi, Lezha, Shijaku or Vora.
DAMAGES IN HOUSES
In the District of Tirana, are 2 thousand damaged buildings , of which 410 are uninhabited private houses. As for the palaces, are 202 damaged and 4 uninhabited.
In the District of Durres, a Damage Assessment Coordination Unit has been set up in coordination with the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Mr. Artan Shkreli.
Expert evaluation teams have arrived: Greece, Turkey, USA, EU, Switzerland, France.
Albanian teams: Institute of Construction, engineers of the Municipality of Durres Development Fund and Roads Department (ARRSH), who were divided into teams in 11 Durres Administrative Units.
The inspection groups are respectively divided into: Ishem, Manz, Katund i Ri, Rrashbull, Region 1, Region 2, Region 3, Region 4, Region 5, Region 6, Sukth.
The preliminary balance is:
.Durres Municipality – 187 inspected objects, 86 uninhabited, 4 to be demolished;
.Municipality of Kruja – 46 Inspected objects, 5 uninhabited, none to be demolished;
.Shijak Municipality – 45 Inspected objects, 25 uninhabited, none to be demolished;
Countywide, 278 inspected facilities
The demolition of the earthquake-ravaged housing in the municipality of Durres continues, based on the decisions of the municipal council and according to official technical expert evaluation.
From date, at 1:30 pm, are 14 destroyed buildings, 7 buildings in the city of Thumana and 7 buildings in Durres have been demolished.
Currently, the action is ongoing in Durres and the work is being done on 8 buildings and in Thumana, on 1 building.

The process of sheltering the injured in social centers and hotels continues. According to the data so far, there are:
In hotels: 1 961 citizens
In tents: 964 citizens. It must be remembered that many of the injured have asked themselves to stay in tents in rural areas, to assist and to support livestock.
In the social centers: 867 citizens
In families and relatives: 2 525 citizens
NEW DISPECER CENTER
A dispecer center has been set up in the municipality of Durres, where 6 telephones and operators have been deployed, which start operating within the present day.
Very soon, this center will be functional to host any calls and coordinate any concerns.
