Albania is heading for extinction. The population is reducing rapidly.
The Institute of Statistics states that in the third quarter of the year, natural population growth fell by 17.1%. The number of births continues to decrease as does the natural population growth.
From July to September according to the latest demographic data released by the Institute of Statistics it has declined by 17.1% compared to the same period last year.
In the third quarter of the year there were 7,403 births registered in the country, compared to 2018 and 4,716 deaths, 5.1% less than a year.
Ten out of the twelve counties in the country experienced a decrease in the number of births. From July to September more babies are born in the District of Tirana and less in the District of Gjirokastra.
As for the loss of life, decrease occurred in 11 of the 12 cities. Durres region shows the highest decrease in death rates with 18.8% , while their increase was recorded in Berat with 2.9%. / abcnews.al
