Minister of Justice Ulsi Manja, speaking about the reform in justice, praised the work of prosecutors and judges. In the activity being held as part of the Day of Justice, the minister said that they should see the work as a “patriotic duty” in conditions where citizens wait for years to resolve issues.
“These special institutions have produced tangible results. Vetting in the justice system by magistrates with problems and SPAK in the fight against official corruption or the work of these two institutions has received the attention of many of us and the public opinion.
I take the opportunity these days to thank the vetting bodies that are successfully closing the work for this most delicate process of this reform. It is not enough to say that the reform in justice is called job done.
It is necessary that every body rises to the height of the task only with work and concrete results. The reform in justice is not vetting and SPAK but an assembly of bodies that have the administration of justice. I congratulate you on the good work you have done in these specific conditions, you need the trust and support of the public and you must earn this with your work and honesty.
I have a thank you for each of you for the good work you have done so far with the consolidation of the new justice, for the irreplaceable friends of the justice reform, the EU and the USA, who have been with us since the beginning of this reform. While my sincere and open invitation is to continue the good work we have done so far, not only as a legal responsibility but as a debt we owe to the Albanians and we expect justice to do justice that has been missing for a long time,” said the minister. /abcnews.al
