8 people lost their lives, the Shkodran driver of the ‘Benz’ vehicle and 7 clandestine people, as a result of a serious accident on the Këlcyre-Përmet road axis.
Sokol Ismeti, the driver of the Benz, tried to escape from the police and lost control, falling on the side of the Vjosa river. As a result, all eight people in the vehicle lost their lives.
It is suspected that Ismeti was traveling at a speed of 180 km per hour and after leaving the road, he flew 80 meters in the air until he crashed. There are doubts that the Shkodran driver did not know the road, as there is a sharp bend in that axis that requires extra attention.
