Prime Minister Rama travels to Turkey

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Edi Rama will pay a working visit to Ankara, Turkey, where he will be hosted by the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Prime Minister Rama’s first stop will be at Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the leader of the Turkish War of Independence and the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey.

After the special welcoming ceremony that will be held at the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, Prime Minister Rama and Turkish President Erdogan will hold a bilateral meeting between them.

Afterwards, Prime Minister Rama and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will lead the High Level Cooperation Meeting between the two countries, with the participation of some of the ministers of the respective government cabinets. At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Rama will address with a word. In the framework of further strengthening of cooperation between Turkey and Albania, several bilateral agreements and memorandums of understanding will be signed in the field of environment, defense, media and communication, etc.

At the end of the visit, Prime Minister Rama and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will communicate to the media the joint press statement. Together with Prime Minister Rama, part of the government delegation will be Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku; Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani; Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi; Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Anila Denaj; Minister of Health and Social Protection Albana Koçiu; Minister of Education and Sports Ogerta Manastirliu; as well as the Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro.
