Kosovo Police has started to reduce its troops in municipal facilities in the north of the country, after accepting the Government’s decision, as reported this Thursday.
Reduction of police forces happened before midnight last night, while these movements were developed in parallel by the municipalities of Leposaviq, Zveçan and Zubin Potok.
Deputy director of the police for the northern region, Veton Elshani, has informed the local media that the decision of the Government of Kosovo to withdraw the special unit from the north has begun to be implemented.
“Yes, the reduction of police units has started from the municipalities where we have been present. “The operation is expected to be completed today”, said Elshani.
