Minister of Finance, Delina Ibrahimaj has said Tuesday that economic growth was 2.72% in the first quarter of the year.
In a press conference, the minister emphasized that the growth was mainly driven by real estate and construction activities, followed by the trade and services sector.
“For the first three months of 2023, economic growth in the country was 2.72 percent. It was an average increase. It turned out that the 2.7% increase was higher than North Macedonia and Serbia. The average growth of the EU countries was 1%,” emphasized Minister Ibrahimaj.
The minister added that according to data from the statistics institute for the first three months, employment has increased to 67.1 percent while unemployment has decreased to 10.9 percent.
