Arrested for vote buying, the elected mayor of Himara demands freedom

The elected mayor of Himara Municipality, Fredi Beleri, who was arrested two days before the May 14 elections, requested the change of the security measures.

Journalist Ermal Vija reports for ABC News that Beleri has appealed to the Court of Special Appeals and the Supreme Court to change the security measure, while today at 14:00 the request of his defense lawyers is expected to be examined in the Court of First Instance first by judge Atalanta Zeqiraj.
