This Monday, the Special Court has decided to accept the request for summary judgment for the defendants of the Fier incinerator.
Journalist Ermal Vija reports for ABC News that the request for a summary trial has been accepted for former minister Lefter Koka, former deputy Alqi Blako, former official of the National Football Association Arben Dervishaj and 13 other defendants who are accused of abuse of office, corruption and money laundering.
Such a decision means that if the defendants are found guilty, they will receive 1/3 of the judgment. Meanwhile, for the other three citizens Etleva Kondi, Arens Myrtezani and an Italian citizen, the trial will be ordinary.
Meanwhile, earlier this Monday in the morning in the Special Court, the request of Arben Devisaj was rejected, where he requested that the file be declared incompetent and the file be transferred to the Court of Tirana, since according to his lawyers he has corrupted officials but not high public officials.
