Police officers located and seized this Tuesday inside a house in Vau i Dejës two firearms, which are suspected to have been used in criminal events.
Law enforcement said that the weapons were found hidden in an apartment, which was used by a citizen with the initials P.GJ., who was declared wanted and is being worked on to arrest him.
Meanwhile, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Shkodër, for further actions, for the criminal offense “Possessing without permission and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition”.
“Services of the Vau i Deja Police Station, as a result of preventive work, supported by information intelligence, in order to find and seize firearms that are illegally possessed and that may have been used or may be used for criminal events , have exercised control over a flat in the village of Vig (uninhabited by its owner for 5 years).
From the control in this apartment, 2 Kalashnikov firearms and 3 weapon combs were found and seized as material evidence. As a result of the first investigative actions, it is suspected that the citizen P. Gj., 59 years old, resident of the village of Vig (who used this apartment recently) hid the weapons in this apartment.
