Socialist Party leads in 54 municipalities from north to south, “Together We Win” is expected to win in 7 cities

A few hours have passed since the official start of the counting of votes to announce the new mayors from the May 14 elections.

So far, the counting for the mayor has been completed in the Municipality of Kamza, in Elbasan and in Vorë, where the counting was done electronically, and in all three of these municipalities the candidates of the Socialist Party have won with a significant difference from their opponents from the Together We Win Coalition.

Meanwhile, “Together We Win” managed to secure the first victory in the Municipality of Puka, where its candidate Rrok Dodaj managed to get 3480 votes, or 58.13%, while the candidate of the Socialist Party Gjon Gjonaj got 2507, or 41.87%.

From the preliminary results so far, it seems that the Socialist Party will again take the leadership of the majority of municipalities.

SP has taken the advantage in most of the country’s municipalities, although the race remains open in some of them.

The socialist camp leads in Tirana, Durrës, Lezhë, Shkodër, Tropoja, Kukës, Fier, Dibër, Gjirokastër, Korçë, Kavaje, Bulqize, Mat, Klos, Kurbin, Vlorë, Delvina, Permet, Skrapar, Devoll, Pustec, Vau Dejës, Divjaka , Cërrik, Patos, Librazhd, Dimal, Mallakaster, Finiq, Vore, Peqin, Selenice, etc.

In Rrogozhina, 45 of the 55 boxes have been counted so far and the candidate of “Together We Win” leads with 50.52% of the votes compared to his rival who has 49.48%. In Kuçova, 30 out of 65 boxes were counted where the BF candidate leads with 49.55% of the votes against the opponents of the SP with 46.22% and the DP candidate with 4.23%.

In Memaliaj, the BF candidate secured 52.23% of the votes against the SP candidate who received 47.75%./abcnews.al
