Police forces searched 4 houses and detained 6 people this Saturday in relation to the case of the death of 22 year old Kenyan Joy Aoko. The police and the prosecution have acted 9 months after the death of the 22-year-old woman who worked in a casino in Tirana.
This Saturday morning, with a court decision, 4 apartments were searched thoroughly, while 6 people were interrogated. The driver of the casino R.B. was also detained, while his brother was been questioned.
Joy Aoko was found lying unconsciously after from the third floor of her rented apartment near the “Vilat Gjermane” area in August 2022.
She was admitted to the Trauma Hospital on August 14, 2022.
The 22-year-old initially survived her injuries, but a brain injury left her in a vegetative state. The young woman could not survive the injuries received, passing away 6 months after the event.
