In the early hours of Saturday morning, the village of Llakatund in Vlora was shocked as a man got into a fight with his former wife and her family members, then burned their house, leading to the hospitalization of several people.
Sources say that the cause had been the divorce of the man, originally from Kosovo, and the woman living in the village of Llakatund. The former went to the village, getting into a fight with the family members of the woman.
The argument and fight continued for a long time, so much so that the man set his father-in-law’s house on fire with gasoline, causing it to be completely destroyed. The caused for the neighboring house to be burnt as well, completely destroying the two.
As a result of all the episode, some of the people involved were injured and ended up in Vlora hospital for treatment. The coastal city Police are also following the case.
The investigative group is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the event and is interviewing the people involved in the conflict. So far, there has been no official announcement from the Police forces of Vlora on people being arrested or detained.
