Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha said that he has decided to participate in the local by-elections that will be held in 6 municipalities on 6st March. The candidates, Berisha said, will be elected by citizens.
Also Ivi Kaso, who in the last elections of 25th April has represented the DP in the CEC, chose to be in today’s CEC meeting, although officially the DP and its chairman Lulzim Basha had referred to two other representatives, Marash Logu and Indrit Sefa.
The State Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi, did not hide his regret for the situation but said that the institution that directs the institutional relations with the CEC is Democratic Party. On the other hand, Kaso said that Basha is no longer the chairman of the Democratic Party and also the initials and seals are no longer those that have been presented to the CEC.
