A serious incident happen this Saturday morning in district no. 4 of Saranda. The police officer of the Saranda Police Station, Klement Bello, 63 years old, had a serious accident after falling into the elevator shaft of the building where he lived. Apparently, there was a defect in the elevator.
Without realizing it, as soon as the gate was opened, the 63-year-old man tried to get inside and therefore fell into the hole at a height of about 6 meters.
He was urgently transported to the Saranda hospital where he received first aid. According to the doctors, due to the fracture in the head and damage to the lungs, he was taken by helicopter to the Trauma hospital in Tirana.
He is now in a stable condition.
