The Constitutional Court in Albania doesn’t have backlog files any more, like usually other courts have. The news was made public by the head of the court, Holta Zacaj, who said that this is thanks to the new digital system applied by this court.
Presenting the work done by this institution in the last year, Zacaj underlined that the new body composed of members who comes from different fields of law, has brought important achievements.
“452 requests were treated during 2023 in the Constitutional Court. This court does not have a backlog of cases like other courts. Although with an insufficient budget, the Court took several initiatives in several directions”, she explained.
