A 29-year-old woman died in Tirana, 4 days after giving birth to her baby. The young woman, whose identity is still unknown, gave birth to a child of about 5 kilograms by natural birth and after 24 hours of stay in the hospital she went home. But she started having problems the day after.
Tuesday afternoon, the girl went to the maternity hospital with signs of weakness. She was immediately put in intensive care and died this Wednesday morning. Sources confirm that the girl had no problems at birth or hemorrhage. The incident is being investigated and forensic expertise is expected to reveal the cause of death.
This is the second incident within 24 hours where a woman lost her life. A day ago in Elbasan, Etleva Çullhaj died a few hours after aborting the baby, while she was also the mother of two other children.
