The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has received in a meeting Robert Gorelick, the former head of the CIA in Italy and other countries of the world, who has visited the Albanian capital for the first time.
In a post on the X platform, Veliaj expresses his happiness about the conversation he had with Gorelick, especially about the ideas of how Tirana can be a safer city.
“Loved hosting Robert Gorelick on his first visit to Tirana – once impenetrable from any foreign entity, it’s now the bustling capital of Albanians and the Western Balkans!
Truly enjoyed talking cold war and current affairs, as well as brainstorm ways to make Tirana the safest city in Europe!
