EU Commissioner for Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi will also visit Albania on April 28. Varhelyi’s official visit to Albania comes as part of a tour of meetings in the Balkans.
The meetings will start on April 25 and will end on April 28, apparently in Tirana. In addition to Tirana, the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement will visit Zagreb, Skopje and Sofia, where he will discuss the EU-Balkans summit in Sofia.
On February 25, Varhelyi announced the implementation of the first package of the Economic Plan for the Western Balkan countries.
“We are launching today the first essential package under the EU’s ambitious 30 billion euro economic and investment plan for the Western Balkans,” Varhelyi said on social media Twitter.
Among other things, he added that there are 21 projects related to transport, digital, climate + energy, worth 3.2 billion euros, with 1.1 billion euros in EU grants.
