The US Embassy has reacted after the clash of the Constitutional Court by making another suggestion.
In its response, the embassy says the parties cannot make contrary interpretations and according to this the isssue should be referred to the Venice Commission.
In the absence of an appropriate legal institution, who could decide on the opposite interpretations, United States supports bringing the matter to the Venice Commission, as a competent and impartial third party, for his legal opinion.
We also urge the opposing parties to respect the legal opinion of the Venice Commission.
Moving in this direction would be fully in line with the European aspirations of the country ”, says the embassy in its press release.
There has been a sharp clash between the Presidency and the majority in recent days regarding the decision about Constitutional Court, where both sides accuse each other of seizing the system.
Earlier, a similar suggestion was made by the Italian ambassador to Tirana, Alberto Cutillo./abcnews.al
