Today is expected to convene the Technical Committee of Experts

The Technical Committee of Experts is expected to convene today. At this meeting it is expected to approve the recommendation made by the Vaccination Committee where the third dose of vaccine, anti-covid, was deemed necessary. The second recommendation was to reduce the age group band for vaccination +16 years old and have also discussed and recommended vaccination +12 years old but only for those children who have health problems. Meanwhile, these recommendations are expected to be approved today by the Committee of Experts.

We recall that the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, stated yesterday from Shkodra that the Albanian government is ready to guarantee vaccines for the third dose, based on the recommendation of experts.

“The Committee of Vaccination Experts has convened and has recommended the implementation or placement in the protocols of the third dose or the ‘booster’ dose as it is otherwise called. They have also recommended reducing the age group band for vaccination +16 years old and have also discussed and recommended vaccination +12 years old but only for those children who have health problems. “These recommendations will be discussed tomorrow at the meeting of the Technical Committee of Experts”, declared Manastirliu. /abcnews.al
