The Appeal Chamber has dismissed the head of the Appellate Prosecutor’s office in Tirana, Dritan Peka.
Initially, Peka was confirmed in office by the Independent Qualification Commission, while it was the Public Commissioner who appealed the confirmation decision to the KPA. During the review of the file, today the Special Appellate Panel decided to dismiss Peka.
Dritan Peka started his career in the justice system in Albania in 2000. He worked as a prosecutor of the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office until 2008 when he was promoted as a Tirana Appellate Prosecutor. He has been the head of the Tirana Appellate Prosecution since 2015./abcnews.al
