TIA reveals new anti-covid measures

Tirana International Airport has published all the measures that will need to be taken by citizens who want to travel by plane. These measures were approved by the Technical Committee of Experts and will enter into force on 6 September.

TIA announces that all persons who will enter Albania must have a vaccination passport, a negative test of the last 72 hours or must prove that they have passed Covid-19 in the last 6 months.

Albanian citizens residing in Albania, who return and do not have one of the above documents, must self-isolate themselves for 10 days and inform the health authority to perform a test at the end of the isolation period.

Only traveling passengers will be allowed to enter the airport, avoiding being escorted by family members. These passengers must strictly observe the wearing of the mask, as recommended in the protocol of health safety measures.

To the attention of passengers flying to Tirana International Airport

Starting from September 6, citizens who enter the Republic of Albania must meet one of these three conditions:

1. A vaccination passport, where from the date of full vaccination have at least two weeks.

2. A negative PCR test within 72 hours or a rapid antigen test within 48 hours.

3.A  proof of passing Sars-Cov2 infection, valid up to 6 months after healing.

These rules are also valid for those citizens who transit through Albania.

Children up to 6 years old are not subject to these rules.
