Three employees of a call center in Tirana have been arrested, while another is being prosecuted without getting detained, the police announced Saturday.
Law enforcement revealed that Eduart Spasari, Fatmir Qershori and Mariglen Karaj deceived foreign citizens over the phone to invest in fictitious stock exchanges.
During the police action, computer units, USBs, mobile devices, notepads with the data of defrauded citizens, as well as various monetary amounts benefited from the frauds were seized.
“Specialists of the investigative structures of the DVP Tirana, in cooperation with the Regional AMP, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office at the Judicial District Court of Tirana, after a genuine investigative work followed with proactive methods, successfully organized and finalized the coded police operation” Last call”.
As a result of this operation, citizens were arrested in the act: E.S., 34 years old, F.Q., 23 years old, and M.K., 32 years old, all three residents of Tirana. In addition, the proceedings began in a free state for the citizen E.R., 33 years old, resident in Tirana.
From the investigative actions, it was found that citizens E.S., F.Q. and E.R., were employed in a call center subject and in cooperation with each other called foreign citizens, presented themselves as sales agents and through fraud, convinced them to invest in the stock market fictitious forex.
Also, from the investigations, it is suspected that the citizen M.K., by means of fraud for monetary benefits, had promised the 2 arrested persons that he would protect them from the Police.
