In Albania, while the counting continues for the local by-elections held yesterday in 6 municipalities of the country, the Socialist Party is victorious in at least 2 of them, Vora and Rrogozhina, where the process is closed, and leads by a most of votes in 3 others (Durres, Lushnje e Dibër), except Shkodra, where at the top, with the most votes, is Bardh Spahia, the candidate of the movement House of Freedom coalition.

Mr. Berisha’s candidates have secured significantly more votes than the representatives of the Democratic Party of President Lulzim Basha, except Rrogozhina.
The Socialist Party is leading in Lushnja as well. So far 126 ballot boxes have been counted out of 157, where 16395 votes went to the socialist candidate Eriselda Sefa or 57.62% of the votes.
In second place is Elton Bano of the House of Freedom with 9014 votes or 31.68%.

Meanwhile, in third place is Indrit Sefa of the Democratic Party with 3043 votes.
Socialist candidate Blerim Shera secured 69.9 percent of the vote, compared to 24.3 percent received by Lulzim Vrana of the Freedom House and 6.29 percent for Democratic candidate Ymer Marku.

In Rrogozhina, the Socialists also managed to get 60.73 percent of the vote with their candidate Edison Memolla, while the other two opposition rivals shared 21.96 percent (Ferdinand Saraçi of the DP) and 17.31 percent (Hekuran Xhani of the Freedom House).

Shkodra, despite the split of the right, seems to have chosen to trust it again. In this Municipality, historically run from the right, when more than 60 percent of the ballot boxes have been counted, the candidate Spahia of the House of Freedom leads with over 43 percent, followed by the socialist candidate Majlinda Angoni with 39.7 percent.

The difference between them is a little more than 1200 votes, and the possibility of changing the result is not excluded. While the candidate of the Democratic Party Xhemal Bushati has 16.6 percent. In Durres, another large and important city, the Socialists have maintained their supremacy. Here, too, when more than 60 percent of ballot boxes were counted, the trend points to a victory of candidate Emirjana Sako with 57.7 percent.

In second place is the candidate of the House of Freedom, Ardian Muka with 28.97 percent, while the Democratic candidate Luan Hoti has only 13.3 percent.Even in Lushnja, it seems that the Socialists will be reconfirmed at the head of this Municipality. As the count goes to the end, their candidate Eriselda Sefa has 57.9 percent of the vote. The other two candidates share 32.4 percent (Elton Bano of the Freedom House) and 11.26 percent of the vote (Indrit Sefa of the DP).

In Debar, the Socialists are still ahead by a significant margin from other rivals. Their candidate Rrahim Spahiu is ahead with 63 .07 percent of the vote. After him, Shpëtim Kryemadhi of the House of Freedom with 19 percent and Luan Haka with 17.5 percent.
