The appeal has considered the complaint of the Democratic Party for the recognition of the statute of December 11th.
The Court of Appeals in Tirana has decided to register the appeal of Enkelejd Alibeaj on behalf of the DP to recognize the changes made to the statute of the party on December 18 last year. The court says the decision was made today and the review of the request will take place in the following days after the lot is drawn for the appointment of the judge.
One of the important decisions of that Assembly was the expulsion from the party of persons who are “non grata” from the United States, directly targeting Sali Berisha.
There is a clash of statutes in the DP, as the court has previously registered the decisions of the December 11 Assembly organized by Berisha’s supporters, thus recognizing the Re-establishment Commission as party leaders and not the other vice-presidents and leaders.
Meanwhile, if the court approves the changes decided by the Assembly on December 18, then Sali Berisha is finally expelled from the Democratic Party, while the decision to recognize the Re-establishment Commission as the party leader remains in force until a second decision.
