Two operations against illegal immigrant trafficking have taken place in the last 24 hours in Tirana. During the “Camouflage 9” operation, the owner of a hotel on the Tirana-Durrës highway was arrested, after accommodating them in a hotel and then helping the emigrants to cross the border.
According to the blue uniforms, 14 immigrants were caught sheltering in his hotel. In return for payment, he assisted them in transporting them to the border crossing points with Montenegro, in order to then cross into EU countries. The manager of this hotel is also under investigation.
As part of the police operation codenamed “Camouflage 9”, the citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto:
– S. J., 60 years old, resident in Tirana, for the criminal offenses “Assistance in illegal border crossing” and “Concealment of income” (owner of a hotel on the secondary road Tirana-Durres).
Citizen V. H., 56 years old, resident in Tirana (hotel manager) was also prosecuted at large.
These citizens, in cooperation with each other, housed illegal immigrants on the premises of the hotel of citizen S. J., for monetary reward, and then transported them to the border crossing points with Montenegro, in order to cross into the countries of EU.

As part of the police operation codenamed “Camouflage 10”, the citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto:
-A. Th., 23 years old, for the criminal offenses “Assistance in illegal border crossing” and “Disobedience to the order of a public order police officer”. This citizen has previous precedents for criminal offenses in the field of opposition of police officers and for some other criminal offenses.
After the stop sign by the police officers, on the secondary road Vora-Fushë Krujë, this citizen did not obey their order and left quickly with the vehicle type “Benz”. While trying to leave, he collided with a parked vehicle and a moving vehicle.
In Fushë Krujë, the Police services stopped the vehicle driven by the citizen A. Th. and 4 immigrant passengers suspected of having entered our country illegally, whose citizen A. Th. had been promised, in exchange for monetary reward, transportation from Saranda to the border crossing points in Shkodra.
Following the actions, 18 illegal immigrants were prosecuted at large for the criminal offense “Illegal crossing of the state border”. The materials were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Tirana Court of First Instance, for further procedural actions.
