Deputy Health Minister Mira Rakacolli confirmed 9 new cases of coronavirus in Albania bringing the total number of affected to 53.
20 are hospitalized at the Infectious Disease Hospital, others will be treated at home.
Three of the infected people are in intensive care. They are a 65 year old from Lushnja, a 61 year old from Fier and a 50 year old from Tirana.
In the meantime, it is worth noting that the number of test controls according to the Ministry of Health has decreased over the last two days.
During the last 24 hours, 31 tests were taken, and yesterday there were 27 tests. In total, 58 tests have been taken in the last two days, of which 13 have been tested positive.
Except for March 7, when the first case of coronavirus had not yet been confirmed, on all other dates, the PHI performed more tests than in the last 48 hours.
