Prime Minister Edi Rama together with Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku have presented the project of the new Commercial Port of Durres in Porto Romano.
In her opening speech of this presentation, the Minister of Infrastructure states that the Durres-Porto Romono port complex will cover the needs of Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia in the next 4 decades. A mong other things, Balluku emphasized that the activity will be supervised by the Port Authority of Durrës and will completely change the economic landscape.
“The railway lines between Albania, North Macedonia and Kosovo, or the creation of dry ports, which will change the economic landscape. We carried out a two-year technical work and we did it with the help of the leading company in this work. It is a transformational investment.
Through the commercial port and the waterfront and the yacht marina in Durres, we are building a port complex. Completely modernized, which will be state-owned, and the Port Authority of Durres will supervise all activities.” said Balluku.
