Nine courts and the prosecutor’s office will no longer function starting from today due to the implementation of the second phase of the new judicial map. The Courts of First Instance that are closed are those of Tropoja, Mati, Kurbin, Puka, Kruja, Kavaja, Lushnja, Permet and Pogradec.
The first phase began to be implemented in February of this year, when from the 6 Courts of Appeals that exercised their functions throughout the country, the reduction was decided to an Appeal of General Jurisdiction with headquarters in Tirana.
In every closed prosecutor’s office and court, counters will be kept open to file lawsuits, which are however then delegated for trial and investigation in the above cities.
