The Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPAK) has closed the investigation into the former mayor of Himara, Jorgo Goro. ABC News reporter Ermal Vija reports that SPAK has sent the file to the court for Goron, who is accused of property abuse. “SPAK has officially communicated the accusations of abuse of office in two cases and concealment of assets.
Goro has been arrested since March of this year,” reported journalist Vija, among other things. Goro was arrested for abuse of office on two occasions. It is about the registration of two property surfaces, where, according to the prosecution, Goro, with his actions and non-actions, has allowed, contrary to the law, the registration of these properties that were planned for strategic investments.
According to the investigations, Goro in 2016 handled a request of Arqile Bollanos based on law 7051 for equipment of the land acquisition act, giving him an area of 4263 square meters of land in violation of the law.
But from the verifications of the prosecution, it turns out that Bollano is the beneficiary of an area of 7700 m2 that he owns since 1996 and thus Goro is accused of abuse of office./abcnews.al
