The police have provide details of the serious accident that happened yesterday evening in the area of Sauk in Tirana, where the vehicle of the Russian embassy was involved.
The car collided with the metal road banner, went off the road and then hit the curb. As a result of the accident, one person died. The police confirm that the victim is the Russian citizen Sergei Mironov, who was a passenger, while the driver Andrea Kukuvič was injured.
The causes of this accident are still unknown. Initially, it is suspected that the car was moving at a speed exceeding the permitted limits, but investigations are awaited to understand more about the incident.
“On 11.05.2023, around 11:10 p.m., at the overpass in Mjull Bathore, the vehicle of the Russian embassy, driven by citizen A. K. and passenger citizen S. M., collided with the metal road banner, went off the road and then hit the curb.
As a result of the injuries received from the collision, the Russian citizen S. M., 36 years old, died in the hospital, while the citizen A. K., 30 years old, is in the hospital, under the care of doctors. The investigative group is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident,” the police announced./abcnews.al
