Compared to the same quarter last year, the average gross salary for the Public Administration and Defense activity group; compulsory social insurance; education; health and social work activities, has the largest increase of 20.4%.
While the average monthly gross salary for a salaried employee, during the second quarter of 2023, is 70,905 ALL, increasing by 16.9%.
The economic activities that offer an average gross monthly wage, higher than the average wage at the national level, are Financial and Insurance Activities and Information and Communication.
Agriculture remains one of the sectors where salaries are offered at the lowest level, ranking last. Construction and industry are somewhat better.
Meanwhile, the official unemployment rate in Albania is 10.7%, suffering a slight decrease of 0.4 percentage points. The data show that men find it more difficult to find work than women, while the data show that unemployment among men increased and among women decreased.
