The dialogue group meeting for the diaspora vote ends. The representative of Reestablishment, Oerd Bylykbashi, has said that an agreement has been reached regarding the vote of immigrants, as only a few technical details remain.
He emphasized that anyone from the Albanian emigrants living outside Albania has the right to vote.
“We are currently discussing the technical details. In our opinion, all Albanian citizens should have the right to vote if they are outside Albania for an important reason for a certain time.
Everyone who is a legal immigrant or not but who has a communication address; students, military, have the opportunity to register at the CEC with the documentation valid for those elections.
There cannot be two categories of Albanians, those who are legally registered and those who are illegally registered, anyone who is outside Albania and has a document and address that they can communicate with will have the right to vote.
This is what determines the limits of the Constitutional Court, we will seek the maximum extent of preferential voting for women voters and of course at that moment, the need for any kind of opportunity would arise.
We cannot say more than that because space has been left for experts”, said Bylykbashi./abcnews.al
