During the official visit to Croatia, Prime Minister Edi Rama analyzed the recent tensions in the north of Kosovo and the killing of the Kosovo Police officer by a group of armed Serbs.
He called for the EU to apply punitive measures and sanctions to Serbia. The head of the government emphasized that it is unacceptable for such acts to occur in the middle of Europe.
“We need a unified attitude regarding what happened, this is only in words but with facts. Here we are talking about symmetrical minimum measures that should be taken not only by Kosovo, but at least in Serbia as well.
Measures should also be taken for Serbia. There are programs and relationships to say “stop” and in no way can it be accepted that in the middle of Europe and a region a criminal group armed to the teeth militarily with illegal uniforms takes the life of a policeman and enjoys the highest honor of national mourning.
This is the peak and unacceptable,” emphasized Rama.
