The mayor of Zveçan, that of Leposaviç and the mayor of Zubin Potok, who emerged from the April 23 elections, took the oath on Thursday. None of them was sworn in the facility of the respective municipality, except for the mayor of the north of Mitrovica.
The elections in the north were boycotted by the largest Serb party in Kosovo, Lista Serbe, with the support of official Belgrade.
The previous chairmen from this party resigned in November of last year. They left the institutions as a sign of dissatisfaction with the decision of the Government of Kosovo that obliged citizens to return the license plates of their cars from illegal to those of the Republic of Kosovo./abcnews.al
