Prime Minister Edi Rama, in his speech held at the EU-Western Balkans Summit, spoke about the positive progress of the new economic growth plan and the next steps for its implementation.
Rama emphasized that it is now time for the region to become part of the EU, while underlining that since the summit held in Skopje, there has been progress, which according to him is already visible “Coming to Kotorr is a great pleasure and I want to start by expressing, in addition to disappointments, also enthusiasm for what is happening and I want to thank the Commission for the work they have done for us. When the parties talk to each other we can achieve a lot.
The progress we have achieved in the past five months since the meeting in Skopje speaks for itself. We have prepared plans for individual reforms, we have identified issues that need to be brought forward and we have started preparations for the common market.
We must continue the development plans. We aim to be ready by 2027, we are waiting for the Commission to finalize the road map”, he said.
