The Special Anti-Corruption Structure has completed the investigations and sent the file for trial of the former mayor of Fushe-Arrezi Fran Tuci, who is accused of abuse of office and destruction of property.
According to SPAK, the former mayor, in violation of the law, has allowed the opening of a new road segment of about 1.8 km and width of about 5 m, which has damaged a significant area of the forest fund owned by this Municipality and has also damaged the terrain belonging to this forest fund.
The damage calculated by IKMT Shkodër amounts to 234,007,500 lek, about 2 million euros, which includes damage to the terrain as well as the deforestation of the surface registered with ASHK, owned by Fushe Arrez Municipality.
The works for the opening of this new road segment have been proven to have been carried out by the citizen Durim Margjekaj, administrator of a private commercial entity against whom the measure of obligation to appear in absentia has been set and the order has not yet been executed./abcnews.al
