The Special Prosecutor’s Office seeks to return in prison the son-in-law of former Prime Minister Berisha, Jamarber Malltezi. Malltezi is under investigation for the “Partizani” affair.
SPAK’s request will be examined today in the Supreme Court at 12:30.
“The defense lawyer claims that there is no evidence for maintaining the measure of house arrest for Jamarber Malltezi”, reported journalist Ermal Vija.
Meanwhile, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha demands the end of the measures. An “obligation to appear and a ban on leaving the country” has been imposed on him.
“Mr. Berisha for the umpteenth time has not appeared at the Special Prosecutor’s Office, forcing the Prosecutor’s Office to toughen the house arrest measure. And for this, the defense lawyers have appealed to the High Court for the removal of this security measure”, said journalist Ermal Vija, among other things.
