The Supreme Court is examining the request of the family members of Aleks Nika, killed in the protest of January 21, 2011, who request that the file of “January 21” be transferred to SPAK.
Lawyer Idajet Beqiri has stated that the case is procedural and they demand that SPAK register the complaint, where the decisions of both courts are overturned and the Supreme Court orders the registration of the criminal proceedings.
It was the prosecutor, Alfred Shehu, who responded as a representative of SPAK, emphasizing that ‘January 21’ is not a calculated crime and in order for the prosecutor to bring charges, a thorough investigation is needed.
